About Leslie
(AKA The Tiny Tall Teacher)

🌸 About Leslie
I’m Leslie — mother, educator, storyteller, and performer. My greatest inspiration is my daughter Luna, whose wonder and curiosity remind me daily why joyful learning matters.
Through The Tiny Tall Teacher, I create experiences for children and adults that blend stories, songs, culture, and creativity — nurturing connection and care for our planet. My work is grounded in early childhood education, creative arts, and mindfulness, bringing together all the parts of me: the teacher, the artist, the mama, and the dreamer.
💛 My Mission
To nurture:
-
Joyful learning and imagination
-
Cultural belonging & language pride
-
Creative expression
-
Love and care for our planet
🌈 What I Offer
-
Children’s Books — heartfelt, multicultural, sustainability-minded stories inspired by real family moments.
-
Author Performance Visits — interactive storytelling with music, movement, bubbles, and joy.
-
Creative Resources — printables, lesson ideas, and cross-cultural classroom tools.
-
Sessions for Grown-Ups — creative wellbeing and teacher support with a gentle, neurodivergent-friendly touch.
🌙 Why I Do This
When Luna was born, I saw the world through new eyes — eyes full of wonder, love, and possibility. She inspired Mini Mermaid, a story that celebrates culture, sustainability, and the joy of belonging.
Growing up between cultures myself, I’ve learned that storytelling bridges hearts and generations. Everything I create — from performances to resources — is made to help every learner feel: " I belong. I matter. I can make waves."
